I watched a little girl walk the rows at NRG's Pet Reunion Pavilion, which opened Monday, calling her dog's name. He wasn't there.
Simply heartbreaking to lose everything in the hurricane, including your dog. There are about 400 dogs, 100 cats here waiting to be reunited with owners. They need volunteers to help with the pets too. (Register at www.bestfriends.org.) They also need bedding donated for the kennels.
